Ok, ive just accepted it for the last couple of years but i need to know, is there any reason that you are ripping off people here in Ireland? The steam digital download should not cost considerably more that buying a disc copy game, but yet it does.. How can you justify this? Is there any reason that games on steam in other countries are actually noticeably cheaper, i can understand rounding up to the nearest .99 of a euro but we are talking about rounding up to the nearest 4.99 and in some cases 9.99..

When it comes down to it thats all this thing really is, its a televised audition for a part in a musical. Ive been told that its like something thats being aired in the UK at the moment, but that doesn’t make it any less of a farce, just a copied farce.. The show itself is going to be run in the Grand Canal Theater and it will be hyped up to the top, maybe get the first show televised.. After that it will just be another show, be-it having a massively over the top audition cycle of which only the two leads are being auditioned. I feel sorry for the other cast that all are more than likely seasoned actors who had to go through the usual method of auditioning.. Anyway thats a tangent.. I don’t get this whole thing at all, here we have an 8 week long show to audition for a show.. baffling..

Ok came into work today expecting it to be an easy enough night, started at 7pm and was asked to check a router i installed in the backstage area as people were having difficulties connecting to it.. So fair enough, went down and checked the signal in the area using “Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector” everything seemed grand.. then i tried connecting.. No such luck. Following this there was a firmware update, a router address change, multiple Settings tweaks.. Nothing..
At this point i was ready to just throw the router out the window till i saw that the “Routing Information Protocol” was disabled for some random reason, now RIP isn’t essential for most home routers so i suppose that might be a reason for it to be off as a default but upon changing the selection to “RIP_2M” it all worked fine.. good old NetGear.. how i despise your routers.. (Love your switches though)

Been getting a hell of a lot of spam comments lately.. Hey at least there comments i suppose the last actual comment i got being in September last year.. But heh.. its annoying all the spam so ive decided its time to install CAPTCHA for use when commenting.. If you register, also requiring CAPTCHA you wont be required to verify in the future once your logged in..
Just to give an idea, there has been 240 spam comments in the last week.. least the bots are getting a good read i suppose..

Ok, the entire undergraduate list got an email last week for a jobs fair in Eastpoint Business Park.. “Leading multinational companies in EastPoint will be recruiting for 175 new roles in IT, sales, telecommunications, pharmaceutical services and HR consultancy including Quintiles, Citrix, Conduit, OSK, Peninsula and Oracle.” This was all well and good until we got out there..
We entered the room which was no bigger than the computer lab i’m currently in and there were 7 companies set up to talk to attendees.. Now as the taxi drove into Eastpoint we passed computer company after computer company but this room contained Citrix, who were only hiring people with 5 years experience using their software, and Oracle, who gave us an email for their graduate recruiter.. all in all a long day for just an email address..

This is how the Simpsons closed their 450th Episode.. Honestly their best died off about 8 years ago. Im not saying that we should see an end to the Simpsons but i do think they should adapt a more South Park (esq) approach, fewer less frequent and most importantly good episodes. This celebratory episode was so bad i turned it off then came back to it 4 days later when i could stomach the rest.

Resolutions are great, they last about 2 or 3 weeks, and i dont expect this one to be any different.. As you may have guessed yes, my resolution, or at least one of them is to blog a bit more..
New years was quiet, its not for lack of choice, there was a party on tonight that i was meant to be at, but by the time i got home from work i was pretty screwed.. that had me down to a 50-50 chance of me going. What tipped me over the edge was the snow. A this point i decided to stay in. Ive a few empty cans here atm and im watching the top gear special. Most importantly, my bed is behind me, oh and im warm
